Verify that your health professional is licensed
Access CHCPBC’s Public Registry to look up a health professional in any of the nine professions we regulate and view the status of their licensure, what certifications they hold, and any limits or conditions on their practice.
How we protect the public
Setting requirements for licensees
We define the qualifications and minimum level for acceptable performance for the professionals we regulate, and we put systems in place to ensure these requirements are upheld.
Addressing complaints
We provide resources and support to help the public understand what they can expect from healthcare professionals, and we investigate concerns and complaints when a healthcare encounter doesn’t go as expected.
Published orders and citation requests
We publish information related to complaints that have been made about healthcare professionals, specifically where matters result in limits or conditions on practice or suspension of licensure.
Indigenous-specific anti-racism and anti-discrimination

This commitment is foundational to our identity as an organization. We are continually working to decolonize our culture, governance, and operations and to empower healthcare professionals to do the same.

Applying to practise in BC
The process to become licensed with CHCPBC will be different depending on where you completed your education and whether you’ve been licensed before.
